13th 2007- Soup Supper & Judging evening
Members enjoyed
a soup supper provided by Barbara & Brian Cragg and rock cakes
baked by Jim Moreton.
Members then judged
the birds that had been brought along, with the results being
as follows;
1/ Best Fife -
Keith Fry
2/ Best Budgie - Steve Speed
3/ Best Gloster - Stewart Randall
4/ Best British - Robert
Windle
5/ Best Irish Fancy - Jim
Macnamara
The winning judge
on the evening was Steve Speed.

Due to the outbreak of Bird Flu around Diss on the Norfolk / Suffolk
border & under direct instruction from DEFRA, sadly we have
to cancel the above event.

Canaries Young Stock show & Buffet
The October meeting
of the Grantham Bird Society saw an entertaining evening where
club member Steve Nesbitt judged the annual Unflighted Canary
& young stock show. Steve had a large number of birds in front
of him and the show winners were;
1/ Best Unflighted
Fife - Tom Fountain
2/ Best Unflighted Gloster - Pete Brown
3/ Best Budgerigar - Brain Cragg
Steve then gave
the members a talk about how he had judged the birds and how well
they were presented; this was well received by the members and
all attending had an enjoyable evening.
