Grantham Bird Society are pleased to be able to announce the show schedules for the September 21st Open Show to be held at the Grantham Railway Club are now ready.

September 21st BBQ & Open Show ~ Judges Announced

Grantham Bird Society are pleased to be able to announce the Judges for the September 21st Open Show to be held at the Grantham Railway Club.

Budgerigars ~ Beverly Hutt from Cambridge
Fife Canaries ~ Stuart Fox from Wisbech
Gloster Canaries ~ Steven Gash from Mansfield
New Colour / AOV Canaries ~ Peter Ward from Stamford
British ~ Dennis Wingad from Lincoln
Foreign ~ Dave Payne from Gainsborough

The show schedule when complete, will available via the usual way, by contacting the Show Secretary and now also via this website by a direct download from this page. We will let you know when the schedule is ready for download.

MEMBERS SHOW - NOVEMBER 25th 2007
Due to the outbreak of Bird Flu around Diss on the Norfolk / Suffolk border & under direct instruction from DEFRA, sadly we have to cancel the above event.

We run a well supported show annually and during the year we also have a nest feather show too. Why not come along and join us and make our shows even more successful.

2007 Open Show report
The 2007 Open Show was a resounding success with overall an increased numbers of birds being entered. Those attending had the opportunity to sample the all day BBQ, liquid refreshments and tombola as well as being able to talk birds all day with friends old and new! The numbers of birds benched at the show came to 233 and was broken down into the following general groups.

Total Budgerigars benched = 56

Total Foreign benched = 29

Total Canaries benched = 118

Total British benched = 30

Exhibitors traveled from the local area around Grantham but also came from places like; Kettering, Leicester and Nottingham to name a few. The committee would like to thank all that took part in our 2007 Open Show and we hope that we see you again at next years, hopefully even bigger and better event.
